The plaque bout the Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre occupies the south wall inside the entrance way to the building of that name in Britannia Park.

On May 4, 2002, this building was renamed the "Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre." It was dedicated by His Worship Bob Chiarelli, Mayor of the City of Ottawa, in memory of Ron Kolbus, former City of Ottawa Councillor 1994-2000, for his outstanding achievements and community leadership.
