The Tulip Festival takes place in the spring in Ottawa and specifically in a park north of Dow's Lake. A dedicated plaque for the Tulip Festival stands near one of the tulip beds near the north east corner of Queen Elizabeth Drive and Preston Street.

Canada was honoured when
Her Royal Highness Princess Juliana,
now Queen of the Netherlands,
found refuge in Canada's capital
during the occupation of her
homeland, 1940 to 1945.
Her Majesty's gifts of tulips
each year have created
great beauty for the
enjoyment of residents
and visitors.

This tulip bed was dedicated on May 5, 2004, by the National Capital Commisssion,
in honour of Her Royal Highness Princess Juliana, former Queen of The Netherlands,
in recognition of the enduring friendship that Canada and The Netherlands enjoy.

Le 5 mai 2004, La Commission de la capitale nationale a dédié ce massif de tulipes
à Son Altesse Royale la princesse Juliana, ancienne reine des Pays-Bas,
en reconnaissance de la profonde amitié qui lie le Canada et les Pays-Bas.
