In Metcalfe, Ontario, the Alain Bissonnette Bench occupies a place in front of the entrance to the Larry Robinson Arena southwest of the corner of 8th Line Road and Van Rens Street.
Alain Bissonnette (1975-2015) died on February 20, 2015, in a workplace incident at the Peter D. Clark Long Term Care Facility. A memo issued by the City of Ottawa's Public Works Department remembered him for "his attention to detail, his amazing sense of humour and the tremendous pride he took in his work."
