The Snye/Le Chenail Monument

The Snye/Le Chenail Monument occupies a place of honour on the north side of John Street on île du Chenail in Hawkesbury, Ontario.

THE SNYE

This monument is erected in honour of
the families that were expropriated
in 1961, due to the construction
of the Carillon Hydro-electric dam.

Erected by the Town of Hawkesbury
August 16, 2009.
