Corporal Nathan Cirillo Plaque

East of the National War Memorial on the west side of the northbound lane of Elgin Street and south of Wellington street stands a plaque honoring the memory of Corporal Nathan Cirillo.




In honour of
CORPORAL NATHAN CIRILLO

Argyll and Sutherland
Highlanders of Canada
(Princess Louise's)


Killed on October 22, 2014
as he stood sentry
at the sacred
Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Corporal Cirillo
never left his post.
Forevermore he
shall stand sentry,
on guard for Canada.
