This RCMP National Memorial was relocated
to the new RCMP Headquarters in October 2013.
Rededicated by Commissioner Bob Paulson on November 19, 2013.
We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet shall sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible.

Ce monument commémoratif national de la GRC a été réinstallé
au nouveau complexe de la Direction générale de la GRC en octobre 2013.
Réinauguré par la commissaire Bob Paulson le 19 novembre 2013.
Nous ne mourrons pas tous, mais tous nous serons changés,
en un instant, en un clin d'oeil, à la dernière trompette.
La trompette sonnera, et les morts ressusciteront incorruptibles.

The statue depicts Lieutenant-Colonel James Alexander Farquharson Macleod (1836-1894), third Commissioner of the North-West Mounted Police, from July 22, 1876, to October 31, 1880. Artists and sculptors Don Begg and Shirley Stephens-Begg of Studio West Ltd. produced this bronze sculpture.
