Many of the Royal Canadian Legion Halls across Canada have a memorial or artifact of remembrance at or near the hall. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 105, on Legion Way in Cardinal, Ontario, has a Bofors Gun out front.
The 40 mm Bofors Light Anti-Aircraft Gun, often referred to simply as the Bofors gun, is an autocannon designed in the 1930s by the Swedish arms manufacturer AB Bofors. With a rate of fire of 130 rounds per minute, it was one of the most popular medium-weight anti-aircraft weapons used during World War II.
