In Manotick, the bench commemoration William Vanden Bosch (Dec 7, 1917 – Apr 24, 1980) occupies the south side of Mill Street at the edge of the Mill Street Parkette a short distance from Rideau Valley Drive.

The Manotic United Church occupies the southeast corner of Rideau Valley Drive North and Currier Street, at 5567 Rideau Valley Drive North, Manotick, Ontario.
Built for the Methodist congregation from January 1, 1903 to January 1, 1904, the Manotick Methodist Church opened on May 22, 1904. In 1925 it was turned over to the United Church of Canada. It is the oldest church structure in Manotick. The Township of Rideau recognized the Manotick United Church for its heritage value on October 16, 2000, By-law 26/2000

Lela Scharf Park
Lela Scharf was a local individual who demonstrated outstanding compassion towards the needs of others. Her and her husband began their life together on their farm in 1929 in this location. During the Depression, Lela strove to provide food and affordable produce to families in need. She also welcomed a large number of foster children into their home over the years and was known to have hosted many community events.
The design of this park has sought to preserve the man-made pond and the natural features surrounding it. Rainfall draining from the adjacent properties will maintain the water level in the pond, ensuring habitat for a multitude of animal species.

Lela Scharf était une personne bienveillante, qui faisait preuve d'une compassion extraordinaire pour les résidents du secteur. Elle et son mari, Elijah, ont enterepris leur vie de couple en 1929 sur une ferme qui occupait cet emplacement. Pendant la Grande Dépression, Lela a fourni denrées et des fruits et légumes à prix abordable aux familles dans le besoin du milieu. Au fil des ans, elle a reçu un grand nombre d'enfants en foyer d'accueil de même qu'ell a été l'hôte de multiples événements, comme des pique-niques familiaux et des soirées de danse carrée et de danse campargnarde.
Ce parc commémoratif vise à préserver l'étang et à assurer un habitat pour les animaux et les végétaux. Les eaux pluviales provenant des propriétés adjacentes permettront de préserver la végétation et les arbres environnants ainsi que de maintenir le niveau de l'eau dans l'étang.
