The 40 mm Bofors Light Anti-Aircraft Gun, often referred to simply as the Bofors gun, is an autocannon designed in the 1930s by the Swedish arms manufacturer AB Bofors. With a rate of fire of 130 rounds per minute, it was one of the most popular medium-weight anti-aircraft weapons used during World War II.
