Armagh Sifton-Price made her home in Brockville where she became one of the community’s prominent residents. Born in Toronto on May 24, 1931 and named Armagh Louise Sifton, the youngest child of Lieutenant Colonel Victor Sifton and the former Louise MacDonald. Her grandfather, Sir Clifford Sifton had established a newspaper empire that became a mass media empire that included radio and television stations in addition to the newspapers he owned. She married Cecil John Price in June of 1965.
She had business interests in Brockville where she owned a great deal of real estate and involved herself with development projects and became very knowledgeable of the building trade and construction business.
Throughout her life, Armagh Sifton-Price supported the Brockville Theatre. She provided not only financial support, but also space to store costumes and props until the Guild's Musitheatre building was built.
In the last fifteen years of her life she suffered lung and heart troubles, spending much time in hospital care. She died, at age 51, on July 17, 1982 at Twelve Oaks Hospital in Houston, Texas. Irvine Funeral Home in Brockville provided for her visitation and funeral. Internment took place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Maitland, Ontario, about five kilometres east of Brockville.
