George Brown Memorial

George Brown (November 29, 1818 – May 9, 1880) was a Scottish-born Canadian journalist, politician and one of the Fathers of Confederation. He served as Senator for Lambton, Ontario from December 16, 1873 to March 25, 1880 and as Premier of Canada West (Ontario) from August 2, 1858 to August 6, 1858. This memorial to him occupies a place on Parliament Hill.
