"50 HORSE HITCH"
On Sunday, August 13, 1995, fifty Clydesdale horses were hitched together to honour the 50th Anniversary of the Navan Fair. The Hitch was driven for 3km through the streets of Navan by Willard McWilliams and witnessed by over 50,000 spectators. The event's huge success was due to the tremendous support from Community Volunteers, the Ottawa Valley Clydesdale Association and the Navan Fair. This Monument replicates the Hitch leaders, Tony and Duke.
